Counseling is a collaborative, confidential process by which clients can define goals for personal and/or career growth, make decisions, and/or discover solutions to personal, relationship or career concerns.
According to the American Counseling Association, counseling is defined as,
"a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals."

Spiritual Direction is the practice of being with people as they attempt to deepen their relationship to the Divine and to discover, attend to, and savor the presence of the Divine in every-day life. A Spiritual Director does not direct a person’s path, but rather, directs their focus and attention.
Spiritual direction is “an act of prayer….those times when we consciously choose to put ourselves in the way of grace, or to enter the sacred space of our True Self, or open ourselves to the indwelling Mystery of our souls”
